You should get off the train at the sign that reads “Camino Inca 104km.” DAY ONE: Visits to Chachabamba, Warmihuañusca, Inti Punku, and a panoramic view of Machu Picchu (bring your own eco-friendly lunch or snack; plastic containers or plastic bags are not allowed). Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, each guest will proceed to their booked hotel. DAY TWO: Guided tour of the citadel of Machu Picchu. Your guide will pick you up from your hotel, and you will begin your 2- to 3-hour guided tour of the citadel.

What you can expect
DAY 1 - Cusco – Chachabamba – Wiñayhuayna – Aguas Calientes
Pick-up from your hotel and transfer to the train station. Train ride (approx. 1.5 hours) to Km. 104, where we will begin our trek to the archaeological remains of Chachabamba. From there, we will continue hiking to the archaeological remains of Wiñayhuayna, where we will enjoy lunch before continuing our hike to the Inti Punku (Sun Gate).
Here, we will get our first glimpse of Machu Picchu, and then we will proceed to the entrance checkpoint of the Machu Picchu citadel, from where the bus will take us down to Aguas Calientes. Here, we will spend the night, have dinner, and prepare for our visit to Machu Picchu the following day.
DAY 2 – Machu Picchu – Aguas Calientes – Ollantaytambo – Cusco
After breakfast, at approximately 5:00 a.m., we will board the bus to the Machu Picchu Citadel, where we will enjoy a guided tour of the different sections for about 2 hours. We will then have a short period of time to explore the citadel at our leisure before descending by bus to Aguas Calientes to board the train back to Ollantaytambo and then to Cusco.
