The Itinerary
La Fontaine's Study
Visitors enter Jean de La Fontaine's study, a true journey back to the 17th century. The poet provides the setting for the immersive exhibition, as well as for the legacy of his 243 Fables.
Fox Room
In a 17th-century French garden, beneath a tree, visitors discover a staging of “The Fox and the Crow,” with allusions to courtiers and flattery. On the outskirts, visitors discover the Fox’s den and the life of Jean de La Fontaine.
Wolf Room
On the edge of a forest, on a full-moon night, “The Wolf and the Dog” meet, caught between independence and the search for comfort, in an evocative portrayal of Jean de La Fontaine’s life. A photo booth, skill games, extensive educational material, and collectible items complete the room.
Frog Room
Under the watchful eye of Jean de La Fontaine, this themed world invites visitors to dive into a pond filled with water lilies, amid the setting of the vain frog “Who wanted to grow as big as an ox.” This room also explores the famous fable “The Frogs Who Asked for a King” and promises visitors the chance to see themselves portrayed in all their bigness. A jukebox of fables set to music enhances the visit.
Lion Room
This part of the tour explores the fable
“Animals Sick with the Plague.” This time, the animals gather via videoconference and search for a scapegoat to take the blame for their misfortunes. A mural of drawings created by visitors and animated using AI, along with skill games, round out this room.
Dream Room
The Hall of Dreams marks the grand finale of the tour. A dazzling 25-minute show featuring 360-degree video projections immerses visitors in a timeless experience.
