Embark on a 7-hour speedboat tour from Vila do Abraão to the Paradise Islands of Angra dos Reis, with five stops throughout the day at some of the region’s most scenic islands, including Cataguases, Botinas and Gipóia (Piedade and Dentista beaches). At the end of the tour, the speedboat returns to the pier in Vila do Abraão.
The activity is conducted in Portuguese, yet international guests are very welcome and frequently take part, as the experience is self-guided and focused on free time. The crew stays on board at each stop, informs the duration of the break, and you explore at your own choice — in the water, on the beach, or simply resting on the boat.
During the navigation, the speedboat crosses the waters of Baía da Ilha Grande and the Paradise Islands area of Angra dos Reis. The itinerary is centered on islands and beaches with typically clear, sheltered waters that are ideal for swimming and snorkeling. Along the way, you will see small islands with white sand and shallow turquoise water, coves surrounded by Atlantic Forest and views of the coastal mountains on the mainland.
The last stop of the day is scheduled at a location with a restaurant where you may choose to have lunch (optional; meals are not included). The exact place can change from day to day and is chosen by the captain based on sea and weather conditions. If you prefer not to eat at the restaurant, you can use this interval to swim nearby, relax or explore the surroundings.
As there are no piers at most locations, disembarkation is generally straight onto the beach or through the water. When the sea is rough, the captain may anchor a bit farther out, and you may need to walk through water up to your waist or swim briefly to shore. Guests may stay on the boat during any stop if they prefer.
Please note that the itinerary and the order of stops may change according to sea and weather conditions, with safety as the main priority.
