What you can expect

Itinerary
At the designated time, we will meet at The Host, Jangadero 136, and at 8:30 pm, we will depart from this location in Puerto Iguazú to head to the Iryapú Nature Reserve, situated in the vast Paranaense rainforest.

Once we arrive at this natural area, which covers roughly 1,500 acres, we will embark on an unforgettable nighttime hiking tour. On this tour, we will learn about the customs and traditions of the native Mbya-Guaraní aborigines, who have inhabited this territory since time immemorial.

Along this easy hike, covering a total of 4 kilometers (2.5 miles), we will encounter towering trees such as rosewood, guatambu, and cedar. We will also see strangler figs and a wide variety of palm trees, guembe ferns, orchids, and fruit trees.

During the hike, we will also spot various types of animals, including coatis, weasels, cai monkeys, tamanduas, short-tailed coatis, and snakes. If we look closely, we may also spot frogs, arachnids, and a wide variety of insects. To help preserve their habitat, we will collect any litter from the area using a special bag.

Finally, we will walk back to the starting point of the hike and from there return to the meeting point in Puerto Iguazú, where we are scheduled to arrive two hours after pick-up.
