Embark on a 8-day trekking adventure to explore the Cordillera Blanca mountain range. Discover the stunning landscapes of the Andes and the local culture of the Andean villages.
Day 1: Huaraz – Llanganuco - Pomabamba
Start your adventure with a private bus transfer to Pomabamba. Visit the magnificent Lakes of Llanganuco and enjoy panoramic views of the lakes. Admire the stunning views of the Cordillera Blanca from the pass of Portachuelo at 4850 meters above sea level. Descend to Yanama village for lunch. Continue to Pomabamba, a typical Andean village, to enjoy the local traditions.
Day 2: Pomabamba - Jancapampa
After breakfast, drive to Jancapampa Village. Meet the mountain staff with mules and donkeys to load your camping gear. Hike along the green valley of Jancapampa to the base of the stunning mountain of Pucajirca. Camp in the green field of Jancapampa.
Day 3: Jancapampa - Huillca
After breakfast, start hiking to Paso Yanacon at 4900 meters above sea level for about 7 to 8 hours. Enjoy the views of Pucajirca and Champara Mountains. Then, start going down to Huillca for about 3 hours. Camp at 4200 meters above sea level.
Day 4: Huillca - Safuna - Tayapampa
After breakfast, hike along the valley of Safuna and visit the Lakes of Safuna. Enjoy the views of Alpamayo the east face. Walk up to Paso Mesapata at 4460 meters above sea level for about 2.5 hours. Enjoy the views, then start going down to Tayapampa.
Day 5: Tayapampa - Jancarurish
After breakfast, hike for about two hours, then start climbing to Paso Caracara at 4830 meters above sea level for about two hours. Enjoy the views of Alpamayo North Face, Quitaraju, Santa Cruz, and Millua raju mounts. Walk down to Jancarurish for about 3 hours.
Day 6: Jancarurish - Osoruri
After breakfast, go down along the Alpamayo valley until Ruinapampa for about two hours. Start climbing up to Paso Jatunvientona at 4750 meters above sea level for about 3 hours. Enjoy the views of Milluaraju and Santa Cruz Mount. Then, start going down to Osoruri for about 1 hour.
Day 7: Osoruri - Cullicocha – Calamina
After breakfast, start climbing up to Paso Cullicocha at 4850 meters above sea level for about 1.5 hours. Enjoy the views of mounts such as Santa Cruz and the splendid views of Cullicocha lagoon at 4628 meters above sea level. Then, start going down to Calamina for about 3 hours.
Day 8: Calamina – Hualcayan - Huaraz
Start going down to Hualcayan at 3000 meters above sea level for about 3 hours. Catch a car to Caraz and then to Huaraz. Arrive in Huaraz around 4:00 PM.
