Your day trip begins with a convenient door-to-door pickup from your accommodation within Hohhot's second ring road at around 12:30. You will travel in a comfortable sedan or van, depending on your group size.
First, you visit the Qilechuan Grassland, a vast prairie stretching at the foot of the Yinshan Mountains. This area is famous for the poetic description 'The sky is blue, the grass is vast, and when the wind blows you can see cattle and sheep.' You have two hours to explore the rolling meadows, take photographs, and enjoy the fresh air. The grassland covers nearly 30,000 mu and showcases the beauty of the Inner Mongolian steppe.
Next, you proceed to the Red Rock Cliff National Ecological Park, located in the east of the Yinshan Mountains. The park is named for its striking reddish rock formations, which contrast vividly with the surrounding green grass and blue sky. You have two hours to hike along the trails, admire the unique geology, and capture the scenery. The rocks appear to glow like flames under the sunlight, giving the area its nickname 'Flaming Mountain of the Grassland.'
After the visit, you will be driven back to Hohhot and dropped off at your accommodation around 19:30.
The driver primarily speaks Chinese and uses a translation device to provide English explanations during the journey and at the sites. Lunch is not included, allowing you to choose your own food; your driver can recommend local dining options. This is a small-group tour with a maximum of 8 people, ensuring a personalized experience without shopping stops.
