What you can expect

  • Meet your local guide at Hiroshima Station and explore two UNESCO World Heritage Sites in a relaxed 6-hour tour.
Designed for travelers with limited time, this tour is ideal for those with only one day in Hiroshima, offering a smooth and stress-free way to see both Miyajima and the Peace Memorial Park.
This small group or private experience combines Miyajima Island and Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, providing a balanced introduction to nature, spirituality, and modern history.

Travel by JR train and ferry to Miyajima Island, home to Itsukushima Shrine (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and its iconic floating torii gate. Depending on the tide, the gate may appear to float on the sea or be approached on foot. Learn how Shinto beliefs shaped Miyajima as a sacred island, and enjoy free time on Omotesando Street to explore or sample local specialties such as momiji manju and grilled oysters.

As a small hidden bonus, your guide introduces a local shop where Japanese tea is served with freshly baked maple cakes, offering a quiet local moment. You may also optionally stop at Senjokaku (Toyokuni Hall) for elevated island views.

In the afternoon, return to Hiroshima City by historic tram and visit Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park. See the Atomic Bomb Dome (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and explore the Peace Memorial Museum to better understand the atomic bombing and Hiroshima’s message of peace.

Throughout the tour, your local guide shares historical context, personal recommendations, and family stories, offering a more human perspective on Hiroshima’s past and present.

The itinerary may vary slightly by season, allowing you to enjoy highlights such as cherry blossoms in spring or autumn foliage in fall.
