After introductions and welcome, we will adjust your walking poles and backpack with a bottle of water and an energy bar. We descend through the vineyard and field to the road that passes by the Škarićevo castle, which is a rare example of medieval wooden architecture. After sightseeing and a story about its builders and inhabitants, the path continues through the nearby village. We climb the hill above the village through a meadow and along the pine forest. We enter the forest on a macadam road past vineyards and small houses. On a hill in the forest, we visit the Halper family tomb, built in 1877, and tell you the story of its owners, especially Colonel Marzel Halper of Siget.
We descend through the forest and field to the center of the village of Škarićevo, and past the elementary school we return to the starting point on Vuglec Breg.
