Start from the city center of Taormina and walk uphill on steep paths leading you first to conquer the peak of Mt Tauro, by reaching the Sanctuary of “Madonna della Rocca”. Here, stop at the bottom of the scenic Castle of Taormina and marvel at one of the most beautiful viewpoints over the Ionian Sea and the town of Taormina, surrouded by the Mediterranean vegetation.

After a break, continue to climb on the very steep path leading to your next stop: the medieval town of Castelmola, located above Taormina. Explore the town of Castelmola, take pictures of the wonderful views on Mt Etna. Taste the almond wine, a local delicacy, before starting the steep trial downhill to finish the tour back in Taormina. On the way down, stop for a quick picture at the church of Saint Biagio.
