After making contact and confirming the meeting place, you'll meet your local guide at the hike's starting point, located in the southeast of Mauritius, near Grand Port.
A full briefing is given before departure: presentation of the route, safety instructions, equipment check and adaptation of the pace according to the group's level.
The hike starts with a progressive trail through the local vegetation, allowing you to warm up while discovering the flora and fauna of the region. As you climb, the terrain gets steeper and more technical. Your guide will accompany you step by step, help you in the more challenging sections, and share information about the history and geography of the site.
The final approach leads to more aerial sections, offering a climb that's both sporty and safe. Once at the top of Lion Mountain, you'll enjoy a break to admire a spectacular view of the turquoise lagoon, Île aux Aigrettes, Lighthouse Island, and Mahébourg Bay.
After taking the time to rest and capture the moment, you'll descend quietly along the same route, under the careful supervision of the guide. The activity ends at the starting point, leaving you with unforgettable memories of an authentic and intense adventure in Mauritius.
