Day 1: Saigon – Ben Luc – My Tho
Start your adventure with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and head to Ben Luc in the Mekong Delta. Upon arrival, check in at Family Tiny Garden and explore the village by bike. Visit orchards, dragon fruit farms, and rice fields, and enjoy a kayaking adventure through a maze of waterways.
Join a cooking class and learn how to make Vietnamese dishes such as Bánh Xèo (pancake) and Chả Giò (spring rolls). Afterward, enjoy a BBQ lunch with local food.
Next, board a cruise on the Mekong River. Visit a coconut candy workshop and a bee farm, and enjoy honey tea. Listen to Vietnamese traditional music (Đờn Ca Tài Tử), a folk art from Southern Vietnam accredited by UNESCO in 2013 as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Relax on a hand-rowed sampan in small canals.
Visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, the largest ancient temple in the Mekong Delta. Return to the homestay for dinner and enjoy some karaoke.
Day 2: Ben Luc – Saigon
Get up early and ride bicycles to watch the sunrise over the rice fields. Visit the local market, enjoy Vietnamese coffee, and have a local breakfast. Experience the bustling lifestyle of local people in the early morning.
Embark on another kayaking adventure through a maze of waterways. Then, wear traditional clothes of the local people of Southern Vietnam, Bà Ba clothes, and plant wet rice, catch fish, and throw nets to experience the life of a farmer.
Enjoy lunch before checking out of your room and returning to Ho Chi Minh City.
