Start with a comprehensive land lesson, where you learn on a balance board “eFoil simulator” how to control your center of gravity and maneuver the eFoil in 3 riding positions: belly down, knee riding, and standing.

During this time, learn how to operate the Bluetooth eFoil remote and how to safely fall away from the board if you fall. Practice on water begins with belly rides and practicing using the remote, turning the board, and doing some emergency stops.

Next, practice some knee riding turns and get to accelerate to eFoiling speed. Your next step in the progression is a slow pop-up to your standing position. Unlike surfing, you can take your time until you feel confident.

Practice turns in both directions and find your proper stance on the board. Progress into touch and go Foiling, just like you practiced on the balance board eFoil simulator. Slowly shift your center of gravity back and your board will slowly rise up out of the water onto the eFoiling position.

100% of clients have had success and have managed to knee surf and stand during their first lesson. Most students are confidently eFoiling after 30-60 minutes of lessons. No surf experience is needed but having board sports balance will help you progress faster from eSurfing to eFoiling.
