What you can expect

Your journey begins early in the morning in Hanoi, where you will depart from 204 Tran Quang Khai Street at 6:30 AM aboard a comfortable limousine sleeper bus bound for the misty mountains of northern Vietnam. The scenic drive to Sa Pa follows the modern highway with short rest stops along the way in Phu Tho, Yen Bai, and Lao Cai, allowing you to relax before reaching the highlands. Around 1:00 PM, you will arrive in Sapa, a charming mountain town known for its cool climate, breathtaking landscapes, and the vibrant traditional attire of the H’mong, Dzao, and Tay ethnic communities.

Upon arrival, you will be welcomed with a refreshing drink and a short itinerary briefing before enjoying a delicious lunch featuring local Vietnamese specialties. After check-in at your hotel and some time to settle in, your afternoon adventure begins with a guided trek to Cat Cat Village, a picturesque village nestled in the Muong Hoa Valley and home to the Black H’Mong people.

As you walk along winding stone paths, you will pass traditional wooden houses, terraced rice fields cascading down the hillsides, and local artisans crafting handmade textiles. The trek leads you to the beautiful Cat Cat Waterfall and the historic hydroelectric power station constructed by the French in the 19th century, offering a glimpse into the region’s colonial past. By late afternoon, you will return to Sapa town to relax before enjoying dinner in a peaceful atmosphere. In the evening, you are free to explore the lively town center, visit the stone church, browse the night market, or simply enjoy the cool mountain air before spending the night at your hotel.

The next morning begins with breakfast at the hotel before your driver transfers you to the cable car station for an unforgettable journey to Fansipan, famously known as the Roof of Indochina. The cable car ride offers sweeping panoramic views of the Hoang Lien Son mountain range, floating clouds, and deep valleys below. Upon reaching an altitude of 2,800 meters, you will have time to explore the impressive pagoda complex and spiritual landmarks set dramatically against the mountain backdrop.

From there, a climb of approximately 600 steps leads you to the summit at 3,143 meters above sea level. Standing at the peak, surrounded by drifting clouds and vast mountain scenery, is a truly unforgettable experience. After about an hour and a half of exploration and photography, you will descend by cable car and return to Sapa town.
Following lunch at the hotel and some free time to relax or shop for local handicrafts, you will walk to the meeting point in the early afternoon to board the sleeper bus back to Hanoi. As evening falls, you will arrive back at Tran Quang Khai Street around 8:30 PM, bringing your memorable two-day adventure in the mountains of northern Vietnam to a close.
