You probably know what tea tastes like. But do you know what it sounds like? Before picking and crafting your own tea, begin with a hike through mountain paths once traversed by tea merchants to sell their harvest. Legend has it that the soft clink of their biandan — bamboo carrying poles — echoed through the hills, carrying the sound of tea long before its flavor ever reached the cup. The journey begins with a scenic hike from Longjing Village to Meijiawu Village, following historic mountain paths once used to transport tea between settlements. After completing the hike, we will arrive at a working tea plantation to pick fresh leaves, followed by a hands-on introduction to traditional tea processing with a local expert. Conclude your experience by tasting your self-made tea along with some desserts, allowing time to rest and connect the journey from hillside to cup.
