What you can expect

✴︎ Limited Time Special: 15% OFF! (June 13 – July 13) ✴︎
“This is not a performance. It's an invitation into everyday Kyoto life.”
Step away from the busy streets and into a world that has remained unchanged for 150 years.

■ A Guided Tour of Living History
Before the ceremony, your host walks you through this 150-year-old former silk merchant's townhouse in Kyoto's historic Nishijin district. Discover its traditional architecture, the stories of the merchants who lived here, and the quiet philosophy embedded in every room.

■ A Warm, Family-Friendly Tea Ceremony
We welcome all generations, from solo travelers to families with young children (welcoming guests as young as 4!). Seated comfortably at a table, you will watch a live demonstration by a professional tea master with up to 40 years of training, explained in clear English.
Then, it's your turn! Using a rare Misonodana tea table, whisk your own matcha with premium practitioner-grade tea.

■ A Garden & Tea Room Changing with the Seasons
No two visits are ever the same. The garden, tea room, utensils, hanging scroll, and seasonal plant-based (vegan-friendly) sweets all change to reflect the time of year.

Spring — Soft blossoms and sakura-inspired sweets.
Summer — Cool shade and refreshing, light confections.
Autumn — Crimson leaves and rich, warming sweets.
Winter — A frost-touched garden and a quiet, glowing tea room.

Come back in a different season, and you will discover a completely different JURAKU.

                                  • About JURAKU
