Explore the port of Hamburg with a self-guided smartphone tour and messenger-based game. Make your way through HafenCity and Speicherstadt as you help a dock worker out of a tricky situation. Pass landmarks and listen to your audio guide as it provides commentary on local history and facts.
Start your experience by downloading the tour game (a code to start the tour is provided after booking on your confirmation voucher). Then head to the Jan Fedder Promenade at Baumwall.
Your self-guided tour and game experience, SOS in the Harbor, begins with a call for help. The dock worker Fiete must have had a bit too much to drink last night and cannot remember what happened. It is up to you to help him.
Be guided across Hafencity and Speicherstadt, going by popular attractions such as the Hamburg Dungeon and over bridges and canals. Reach Sandtorhafen for a clear view of the Elbphilharmonie concert hall.
As you reach important hotspots, learn background information about Hamburg's landmarks and attractions via visuals and audio files. The tour continues to the Störtebeker monument and the former Hanover Train Station before a hidden photo spot opens up to a view of the Fleetschlösschen.
The tour route and game ends at the Kornhausbrücke. With a little luck and a lot of puzzling skills, Fiete will be happy once again.
