The Canonica di Vezzolano is one of the most beautiful and important monuments of European Romanesque architecture, so much so that it has become part of Transromanica, the European Romanesque Network. With its frescoes painted between the 13th and 14th centuries, it houses a very rare treasure… come and discover it!
Nestled in an exceptional natural setting, among woodlands and vineyards of Nebbiolo and Freisa grapes, the Canonica maintains an orchard of ancient apple varieties within its perimeter, from which a delicious apple juice is made.
During the visit, we will immerse ourselves in the life of the community of canons who lived here in the Middle Ages, and we will learn about the history of its founding and how it was transformed during the Napoleonic period.
