Your tour starts right in the heart of St. Pauli at Gebrüder-Wolf-Platz. From here, you will dive right into the heart of the neighborhood, riding through streets that reveal Hamburg’s raw, unvarnished side – including the famous Große Freiheit.
Next, you will head towards the Schanzenviertel. Via Wohlwillstraße, you will reach one of Hamburg’s most famous alternative neighborhoods. Around the Rote Flora theater, the city reveals itself as creative, political, and vibrant—steeped in history and with a unique atmosphere all its own.
As you pass through Schanzenpark, with its striking water tower, the surroundings change noticeably. The tour then takes you towards the university and into the quieter, greener districts of the city. In Rotherbaum, the area becomes more spacious, open, and distinctly elegant.
At the Outer Alster Lake, you’ll enjoy a relaxing ride along the water. Here, Hamburg reveals its classic side – with views of the Alster, plenty of greenery, and a completely different atmosphere from that at the start of the tour.
On the way back, another special stop awaits you in the Gängeviertel district. Amidst old buildings and modern urban development, you’ll get a sense of how Hamburg keeps reinventing itself. From there, you’ll head back towards St. Pauli.
On this tour, you’ll get to know very different sides of the city in just a few hours – sides that are close to each other yet completely different.
