Observe daily life: traders chatting in French, Hausa, or Swahili; barbers crafting intricate braids; shops displaying textiles bound for Lagos or Nairobi.

Next, take a short walk or taxi to Yuexiu Park. Enter via the North Gate (near Zhenhai Tower) for the most scenic route. Discover one of China’s most beautiful urban parks, with 2,000+ years of history.

Visit the Five Rams Statue (Wuyang Sculpture), a symbol of Guangzhou’s legend—“Five Immortals rode rams to bless the city with grain.” See the Zhenhai Tower (Five-Story Pagoda), built in 1380, which now houses the Guangzhou Museum (optional quick visit).
