This experience is perfect for: geology lovers, photographers, families, and anyone who wants to walk Iceland’s newest land with someone who’s lived through the eruptions.
The tour explores the real volcanic landscape of Iceland—including fresh lava fields and, when possible, active lava during eruptions.
All photos you see are taken by our guides during actual tours. Some show glowing lava. Some don’t. That’s because volcanic activity is unpredictable. Eruptions can pause or restart with little notice.
When it’s happening and safe, we always update the route to include the active eruption site. Red lava is never guaranteed.
When it’s quiet, we focus on the dramatic Fagradalsfjall area, filled with recent lava flows and incredible scenery.
Our guides will always provide you with the best experience, regardless of the weather or conditions on that day.
