Overview

  • Explore Gothenburg from the water on a 50-minute Paddan canal cruise with Stromma. Board the iconic open-top boat at Kungsportsplatsen and travel along the historic moat and 17th-century canals, passing beneath up to 20 bridges—including some of the city’s famously low crossings.

    A live guide shares entertaining stories in English and Swedish about Gothenburg’s foundations, defences, maritime heritage, and the landmarks along the route. Continue towards the harbour and former shipyard districts for a fresh perspective on one of Sweden’s most characterful cities.

    With outdoor seating and central departures, this guided boat tour is an ideal way to see Gothenburg’s highlights in under an hour. Please dress for the weather.
