Ghorepani is a charming mountain village nestled at an altitude of approximately 2,860 meters (9,383 feet) in the Annapurna Conservation Area of Nepal. Surrounded by lush forests of rhododendron, oak, and pine, Ghorepani offers a tranquil escape from the busy world below. One of the biggest attractions of Ghorepani is its proximity to Poon Hill, a world-famous viewpoint just a short hike (about 45 to 60 minutes) from the village.

Tikhedhunga is a small hamlet at about 1,540 m on the Ghorepani‑Poon Hill trekking route, reached after a gentle drive from Nayapul via lush terraced rice fields and bamboo groves. It lies on the popular Ghorepani–Ghandruk trekking route and is well known for its breathtaking views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail). The name "Tadapani" means "far water" in Nepali, as water once had to be brought from a distant source. Today, it is a peaceful overnight stop for trekkers, offering basic lodges, fresh mountain air, and a tranquil forest atmosphere—ideal for rest and reflection before continuing the trek.
