What is Flameworking? Flameworking involves melting Efetre glass rods with a torch flame that reaches approximately 1200 degrees Celsius. Before the advent of modern torches, people used oil lamps or candles to melt glass, hence the technique is also known as “lampworking” or “flameworking.” Event Details: Participants will sit and enjoy their coffee while the artist explains the flameworking technique and introduces the tools and materials. After two demonstration sessions, participants will decide on the shape, style, and colors of the piece they want to create from the samples. They will then put on their aprons and protective glasses and start making their pieces with the support of the artist.
