Set off on a journey to discover Cap Méchant and marvel at the breathtaking scenery, where the ocean swells meet volcanic lava.
In the heart of the Wild South, the elements have been unleashed, creating incredible landscapes.
The panorama seems so unreal that it's a perfect setting for legends and myths. It is also an old pirate hideout.
Etang Salé Black Sand Beach:
One of the few volcanic sand beaches on Réunion Island, formed from a mixture of basalt and coral.
The white-sand beach of L'Ermitage-les-Bains:
At 7 kilometers (4.3 miles) long, this is the largest white-sand beach on Réunion, protected by a coral reef.
Cap la Houssaye:
This natural headland, named after the Breton captain Guillaume La Houssaye, marks the southern boundary of St. Paul's Bay.
People come here to admire the skill of the fishermen, the beauty of a sunset, or the ballet of humpback whales passing through during the southern winter. It is also a popular scuba diving spot.
