Grasslands and Savannahs: One-horned Rhinoceros: Chitwan is renowned for its successful conservation of the endangered one-horned rhinoceros. Jeep safaris offer excellent opportunities to observe these majestic creatures grazing in the grasslands. Deer Species: Encounter herds of spotted deer (chital), sambar deer, and occasionally, the elusive hog deer.
