Here, you can definitely observe the lifestyles of these two culturally very different minority groups and know how in spite of their differences they manage to work together on a day to day basis and even share a same school.
You will continue onwards the trail leads through green rice paddy fields and fertilized vegetable fields before reaching the mountainous forest. Along the way, you will explore a cave which was used as an improvised bomb shelter by the locals during the second Indochina war.
Afterwards, you will continue onwards from the cave one more hour of trekking to reach one of the springs that feeds Kuang Si. Once coming here, you can see a beautiful pool full of sacred fish. After descending from the peak of the waterfall, you will enjoy a Lao style picnic lunch next to the waterfall.
After having lunch, in the afternoon you will spend time bathing and relaxing by the turquoise pools below the waterfall. It is well worth paying a visit to the nearby bear rescue center which is home to bears after being rescued from bile farms and wildlife traffickers.
Before going back to Luang Prabang, you will take a short walk to the nearby Ban Thapene which is a Khmu village lying nestled around some of the most spectacular pools of Tad Kuang Si.
