Know before you book

  • Children 2 and younger are not allowed.
  • To operate the tour we need a minimum of 4 guests. In case the minimum is not reached and we have to cancel the tour, you will get a full refund or offered an alternate date.
  • Maximum group size is 14 people.
  • Hotel pickup is available from hotels and vacation rentals located within the Fairbanks and North Pole city limits. Please contact the tour provider directly for an alternative pick up location.
  • Please be ready and waiting in your hotel lobby around 5 minutes prior your pick up time. Please be aware that delays do occur when guests are not ready on time so don't panic if your guide is not there right on the dot.
  • Children under 18 years of age and pregnant women are not allowed to use the rock pool of the hot springs but may use the indoor pools under supervision.
  • This tour requires being able to enter and exit our van with limited assistance. Please contact us if you have any concerns about mobility.

What you can expect

Take a day to relax and soothe in the healing mineral waters of Chena Hot Springs, just a short trip from Fairbanks and the North Pole. Escape to the geothermal spa to bathe in the resort's selection of hot springs and explore the Aurora Ice Museum to learn more about the region.

Begin your experience with convenient transportation from your centrally located Fairbanks or North Pole hotel to Chena Hot Springs Resort. Here, you have access to all of the resort's hot springs, including swimming pools, hot tubs, and Rock Lake. Soak in the rejuvenating waters that are naturally heated from the earth's geothermal energy.

Also, get the chance to gain insight into the various renewable energy projects that almost completely sustain the resort. Next, be amazed by the remarkably detailed sculptures within the Aurora Ice Museum, a structure built of over 1,000 tons (907.185 mT) of snow and ice that is maintained year round.

With the remainder of your time, explore the rest of the resort's amenities, including its renowned restaurant and gift shop, where you can find unique pieces of Alaskan art to take home for yourself or someone special to you.
