You’ll visit the remarkable Bent Pyramid, famous for its unusual change in angle halfway up. This fascinating design shows the trial-and-error process of early pyramid construction — making it one of the most important pyramids in architectural history. It’s also one of the best-preserved pyramids in Egypt, still retaining much of its original smooth limestone casing. Next, you’ll see the impressive Red Pyramid, considered the first successful “true” smooth-sided pyramid. It gets its name from the reddish color of its stones, especially beautiful at sunset. Visitors can often enter inside and climb through the narrow passageway into the main burial chamber for an unforgettable experience.
