We ascend to the slopes of Mount Aragats to visit Amberd Fortress, a medieval stronghold that dates back to the 7th century. Perched proudly at an altitude of 2,300 meters, Amberd offers breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks and sunlit canyons. Once a bastion of Armenian defense, the fortress whispers stories of battles and bravery, of noble families and forgotten victories. You’ll walk among its stone walls and discover the Vahramashen Church, built in perfect harmony with the wild, mountainous terrain.
Our next stop is the Wine Museum of Armenia — where wine tells the story of time. From the world’s oldest known winery to modern production secrets, this immersive experience traces the deep roots of Armenian winemaking.
With interactive exhibits, ancient artifacts, and a main hall nestled 8 meters underground, the museum brings history to life in a way that’s both educational and unforgettable.
And yes — you can explore it all with a glass of wine in hand.
After the museum, we will have a tour and wine tasting at the winery, where the old craft of winemaking meets excellence. Enjoy a wine tasting session in the scenic vineyards, followed by a traditional Armenian lunch made with love and local ingredients.
