What you can expect
Ready to see Japan from a whole new perspective? Welcome to Yokohama, the bay that never sleeps. We’ll leave the hustle and bustle of Tokyo behind to soak up the sea breeze and admire the skyscrapers of the country’s second-largest city. On our tour, we’ll head up to the Landmark Tower observation deck—guaranteed to offer the best panoramic views of the bay. We’ll stroll through the historic Red Brick Warehouse district, now teeming with unique shops and cafés, and feel the thrill of the Air Cabin cable car. And the best part? We’ll board an amphibious bus for a tour on land and sea.
We’ll visit the heart of Chinatown.
The day begins by meeting your tour guide at the central exit of Shinagawa Station, where we’ll catch a train for a 30-minute ride to Sakuragicho Station.
Upon arrival, we’ll walk about five minutes to the boarding point for the amphibious bus—known as the “Sky Duck Yokohama Minato.” We’ll start with a land tour of the Minato Mirai area before venturing into the water; once transformed into a boat, the vehicle will take us on a beautiful tour around Yokohama Bay—an unforgettable one-hour journey in total.
After our wonderful amphibious bus ride, we’ll head to the Landmark Tower, which stands 296.3 meters tall. It is the fourth-tallest structure and the second-tallest building in Japan. The tower is located in Yokohama’s Minato Mirai 21 district, right next to the Yokohama Museum of Art. We’ll ascend to the 69th floor, home to an observation deck offering 360-degree panoramic views of the city center and Yokohama Port. After enjoying the wonderful views, we will board the Yokohama Air Cabin cable car and travel along the harbor route. Take in the fabulous panoramic views of the sea and the cityscape.
Upon arriving at the other end of the Air Cabin route, you will visit Yokohama World Porters, a popular six-story shopping and entertainment complex. It features around 150 shops, a large food court, a cinema, and interactive attractions. There, you can have a meal and take a short break before continuing the tour.
After a satisfying lunch and a well-deserved rest, we will take a walk to the famous Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse. Your guide will explain the history and design of this landmark, which is reminiscent of Western architecture. Formerly part of the port where ships from abroad arrived, the site housed several warehouses that have since been transformed into beautiful shops and cafes.
After visiting the historic port area and the Red Brick Warehouse, we will take the Air Cabin cable car back to Sakuragicho Station, where we will board a train bound for Chinatown.
Once there, we will visit the Chinatown shrine. Following the guided walk through the neighborhood's various streets, you can take a break to shop or sample local cuisine at the area's many street food stalls, cafes, and restaurants.
At the end of the tour, we will head to Ishikawacho Station to catch the train back to Shinagawa, Shibuya, or Shinjuku Station.
