Discover the natural beauty of southern Crete on a full-day excursion combining stunning beaches, a unique palm forest, traditional villages, and impressive natural landscapes. Travel comfortably by air-conditioned bus from Rethymno, enjoying a relaxed and well-organized day.
Your journey begins in the morning with a drive to Damnoni Beach, where you will have some free time to enjoy a coffee or a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters.
Next, board a boat for a scenic 30-minute cruise along the south coast, heading to the famous Preveli Palm Beach. Spend approximately 2 hours swimming, relaxing on the beach, and exploring the unique palm forest and river surroundings.
After returning by boat to Damnoni, continue by bus to the charming seaside village of Plakias. Here, you will have plenty of free time to swim, enjoy lunch at a local taverna, or relax by the sea.
The final stop of the day is Kourtaliotiko Gorge, where you will spend about 1 hour enjoying the waterfalls and the beautiful natural setting. Please note that the entrance fee to the gorge is €5 per person (payable on site) and that there are no toilet facilities in the gorge. Comfortable athletic shoes and a hat are required for this part of the excursion.
After a wonderful day filled with nature and sea, return to Rethymno in the afternoon.
