Benefit from pick-up at your accommodation in Porto Vecchio, or a pre-arranged meeting point, and then take a mountain road through the lovely countryside surrounding the town. Admire the drystone walls, impenetrable vegetation and forests of cork trees, and then marvel at the views as you reach higher ground.
Stop in the village of Carbini for a short café break and refreshment while discovering more about the island's history. Continue to Sainte-Lucie-de-Tallano and take a stroll to the famous 18th-century oil mill to taste the excellent olive oils and perhaps purchase some bottles to take home.
Next, stop for lunch at around 13:00 in a restaurant in the nearby village of Quenza. Get to know your fellow travelers over delicious food in a convivial atmosphere. Then, continue towards the Col de Bavella and contemplate the dramatic scenery for around 20 minutes. Return to the coast through the touristic village of Zonza, and enjoy a sip of the local Mirto liquer made from the myrtle plant.
Then, journey along another beautiful road passing pine trees and the shores of Lake Ospedale. Get fantastic views over Porto Vecchio, where your tour ends approximately 30 minutes later.
