What you can expect

  • Option 1: Meet your guide at the main entrance of Fushimi Inari Taisha and begin your adventure at one of Japan's most iconic landmarks.

Fushimi Inari Taisha, one of Japan's most iconic Shinto shrines. Walk through the famous Senbon Torii, a breathtaking pathway of thousands of vivid vermilion torii gates stretching into the mountainside. As you explore, enjoy the unique atmosphere created by the endless rows of gates and the peaceful forest surroundings.

You will also have the opportunity to try the famous Omokaru Ishi, or “Heavy-Light Stones.” Make a wish and lift one of the sacred stones. According to local tradition, if the stone feels lighter than you expected, your wish may come true more easily; if it feels heavier, achieving your wish may require more effort.

Continue exploring the shrine's beautiful grounds, learn about its fascinating traditions, and capture unforgettable photos of the iconic vermilion torii gates before traveling by train to the historic city of Nara.

After exploring Fushimi Inari Taisha, board a train with your guide and travel to the historic city of Nara, Japan's first permanent capital.

Your first stop in Nara is the beautiful Kasuga Taisha Shrine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site surrounded by peaceful forest and lined with thousands of stone and bronze lanterns.

Continue to Nara Park, where hundreds of adorable wild deer roam freely. Enjoy the unforgettable experience of feeding these gentle animals, famous for politely bowing to visitors. Don't forget your camera—this is one of Japan's most unique and memorable encounters.

Then visit the magnificent Tōdai-ji Temple, home to the Great Buddha and one of the largest wooden buildings in the world, an architectural masterpiece that has inspired visitors for centuries.

Option 2: Meet your guide at Kintetsu Nara Station and begin your adventure from the historic city of Nara, Japan's first permanent capital.

First, visit Kasuga Taisha Shrine, followed by Nara Park, where you can meet and feed the famous free-roaming deer. Then, explore the magnificent Tōdai-ji Temple and see the Great Buddha.

After exploring Nara, travel by train with your guide to Kyoto and visit the legendary Fushimi Inari Taisha. Walk through the famous Senbon Torii Gates, and try the traditional Omokaru Ishi (Heavy-Light Stones), where you can make a wish and test its weight.

This tour combines history, culture, nature, and unforgettable local experiences. Traveling by train lets you experience Japan just like the locals while enjoying a comfortable and authentic journey between these world-famous destinations.
