Begin your adventure with a thrilling ride in an open-air 4x4 jeep across the Crow Valley. Drive through volcanic mudflow, cross shallow rivers, and pass the famous Toblerone Hills.
During the ride, you will meet the Aeta indigenous community, this experience is a humbling look at their resilience and how they have adapted to life on the volcano’s slopes following the eruption. Once the jeep reaches the parking area, begin your trek. The terrain is mostly flat and rocky along a riverbed, crossing several small streams.
Finally, reach the massive Crater Lake, shifting in color from turquoise to deep green depending on the weather and mineral content. Once at the view point, take in sweeping views of the surrounding landscape, showing the changing colors of the water, and the natural formation of the lake.
The reward at the end is a massive turquoise caldera lake surrounded by sheer, jagged cliffs. It’s incredibly peaceful at the top, making it a perfect spot for a picnic lunch.
