Itinerary:
Day 1: At Lukla (2886m), your guide will pick you up, and trek to Phakding (2640m) — 3 to 4 hrs, approx. 8 km
At Lukla, your guide will warmly welcome you and assist you as you start the trek. Begin walking downhill through beautiful pine forests and along the Dudh Koshi River to reach the village of Phakding.
Day 2: Trek from Phakding (2640m) to Namche Bazaar (3440m) — 5 to 6 hrs, approx. 10 km
The path follows the Dudh Koshi River, crossing several suspension bridges and passing through quaint villages surrounded by rhododendron forests. The trail climbs steadily to reach Namche Bazaar, the vibrant Sherpa market town and gateway to Everest.
Day 3: Trek from Namche Bazaar (3440m) to Tengboche (3867m) — 5 to 6 hrs, approx. 9 km
Ascending through dense pine forests, trekkers are rewarded with stunning views of Everest and Ama Dablam. Tyangboche welcomes visitors with its famous Buddhist monastery and offers a serene mountain atmosphere rich in culture.
Day 4: Trek from Tengboche (3867m) to Dingboche (4260m) — 5 to 6 hrs, approx. 10 km
The route passes through alpine meadows and rugged terrain, with prayer flags and mani walls marking the way. Dingboche is a charming village nestled in a valley surrounded by towering Himalayan peaks.
Day 5: Trek from Dingboche (4260m) to Lobuche (4930m) — 5 to 6 hrs, approx. 8 km
The hike climbs steadily across rocky landscapes, offering expansive views of glaciers and mountains like Pumori and Nuptse. Lobuche serves as an ideal resting place before the final ascent toward Everest Base Camp.
Day 6: Trek from Lobuche (4930m) to Everest Base Camp (5364m) and back to Gorakshep (5164m) — 7 to 8 hrs, approx. 14 km
Reach the legendary Everest Base Camp, taking in the majestic Khumbu Icefall and surrounding peaks. Afterwards, descend to Gorakshep to rest for the night.
Day 7: Early hike from Gorakshep (5164m) to Kala Patthar (5545m), then trek down to Pheriche (4243m) — 7 to 8 hrs, approx. 13 km
A dawn climb leads to Kala Patthar, the best viewpoint for breathtaking panoramic views of Everest and the Himalayan range. The descent continues through the valley to Pheriche, known for its mountain medical center.
Day 8: Trek from Pheriche (4243m) to Namche Bazaar (3440m) — 6 to 7 hrs, approx. 14 km
The trail descends through lush rhododendron forests and terraced fields, gradually leading back to the lively Sherpa town of Namche Bazaar.
Day 9: Trek from Namche Bazaar (3440m) to Lukla (2886m) — 6 to 7 hrs, approx. 20 km
Descending through scenic forests and traditional villages, the trail concludes in Lukla, where trekkers can relax after an incredible journey.
