Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park sits right on the edge of Livingstone, Zambia, along the banks of the Zambezi River. What makes it remarkable is what lives inside: a protected population of endangered southern white rhinos that you can track on foot — with armed rangers, in open bush, at genuine close range.
The tour runs three hours and combines two distinct activities. First, an open 4x4 game drive along the Zambezi riverine woodland — giraffes, zebras, warthogs, antelopes, and depending on the season, elephants and hippos visible from the vehicle. This is livingstone zambia safari at its most immediate, right on the doorstep of the town.
After the game drive and a short rest stop with snacks and drinks by the river, armed national park rangers join for the walking safari section. On foot, in open terrain, tracking white rhinos at close range. Very few places in Africa offer this kind of access this close to a tourism hub.
Snacks, soft drinks, and bottled water included. National park and entry fees included. Hotel pickup from Livingstone. Morning and afternoon departures available.
