Pick up from the meeting point
A 45-minute road trip to visit the ancient pre-Columbian pilgrimage center of Pachacámac, overlooking the fertile Lurín Valley and overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The temple built 700 BC for the worship of the Sun God, it is made almost entirely with adobe bricks, and is composed of an oracle, a set of temples, pyramids and palaces. Highlights include the “Temple of the Sun”, the “Temple of Pachacamac”, the “Acllahuasi” or “Palace of the Virgins” of the Sun, enclosures and catacombs, which have been recently restored. It is considered to have been one of the main ceremonial centers of the pre-Inca era. Pilgrims came to this place from far away to worship Pachacámac, creator of the world and its creatures. The best preserved part is the Inca section. We will visit the Site Museum that houses an interesting collection of pre-Hispanic relics.

Continuing with the tour we will visit the traditional and bohemian district of Barranco, where its famous Bridge of Sighs, the Hermitage and the monument to Isabel Granada Larco “Chabuca Granda” stand out.
