Embark on a 2-day tour from Kigali to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Track gorillas on the second day and return to Kigali the same day after Gorilla Trekking.
On the first day, travel from Kigali to Uganda via the Cyanika or Gatuna Border. Cross the border and head to Kisoro town. Along the way, enjoy spectacular views of the terraces of the Ugandan and Rwandan mountains.
Arrive late in the afternoon and have the opportunity to enjoy a self-guided walk in nearby villages. Then, have dinner and spend the night at your accommodation.
On the second day, wake up early and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for the upcoming gorilla trek. Trekking the mountain gorilla is one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth.
The trek will take 2 to 6 hours, but it is well worth the effort. Be led by an experienced ranger who will share interesting facts about flora, fauna, and the lifestyle of the gorillas. Spend 1 hour with the gorillas, then return to the lodge, have lunch, check out, and transfer back to Kigali.
