Day 1: Drive from Kathmandu to Chame via Besisahar (9–10 hours)
Start early from Kathmandu. Drive through towns, green hills, and winding roads to Besisahar. Switch to a local jeep for the 3–4 hour journey to Chame, enjoying rivers, forests, and village views. Arrive by evening and rest at a teahouse.
Day 2: Trek from Chame to Pisang (4–5 hours)
Begin trekking from Chame along pine forests and apple orchards. Cross a suspension bridge and ascend to Dhukur Pokhari for lunch. Continue to Pisang, with views of Annapurna II, IV, and Pisang Peak. Explore Upper and Lower Pisang before staying at a teahouse.
Day 3: Trek from Pisang to Manang (5–6 hours)
Trek through pine valleys to Braga and visit its hillside monastery if open. Cross suspension bridges and slopes before reaching Manang. Settle into a teahouse and enjoy Annapurna and Gangapurna views.
Day 4: Acclimatization Day in Manang
Rest and acclimatize to prevent altitude sickness. Explore viewpoints, monasteries, and a cultural museum at a relaxed pace. Optional short hikes lead to glacial lakes with views of Gangapurna and Tilicho peaks. Return to your lodge for a hearty meal and good night’s sleep.
Day 5: Trek from Manang to Yak Kharka (4 hours)
Climb steadily past Tengi, meeting locals with pack animals. Stop for lunch in Gunsang with views of Annapurna II and IV. Continue through juniper forests to Yak Kharka and rest at a guesthouse.
Day 6: Trek from Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi (4–5 hours)
Trek across alpine pastures with roaming horses and Himalayan griffons to Thorong Phedi, the base camp for Thorong La Pass. Cross a suspension bridge and rocky slopes. Arrive at Thorong Phedi and rest, preparing for tomorrow’s high-altitude crossing.
Day 7: Trek from Thorong Phedi to Muktinath via Thorong La (7–8 hours)
Start very early around 4 AM to avoid strong winds on Thorong La Pass at 5,416 meters. Enjoy snow-capped peaks and fluttering prayer flags. Your guide ensures safe crossing. Descend into the dramatic Kali Gandaki Gorge, one of the world’s deepest. Arrive in Muktinath, a pilgrimage site, and explore temples and shrines. Spend the night at a teahouse after this unforgettable day.
Day 8: Drive from Muktinath to Pokhara by Local Bus (9–10 hours)
Start early after breakfast for the scenic drive through the lower Mustang Valley to Pokhara, about 9–10 hours. Check into your hotel and rest. Afterwards, explore the lakeside streets, enjoy local or international food, and relax after completing your trek.
