At 8:30 AM or 12:30 PM, your private vehicle will pick you up from your hotel or a designated meeting point in Hue. The journey begins with an 85 km drive to the first stop, a historic site that marked the division of Vietnam for over 20 years following the 1954 Geneva Agreement.

From 1954 to 1975, this area was a hotspot of political tension and conflict. The Hiền Lương Bridge, painted in two colors, stood as a vivid symbol of the divided nation, with loudspeakers on both sides broadcasting messages in a constant “battle of voices.” The surrounding DMZ became a focal point of war, witnessing countless confrontations.

Next, you will visit the Vinh Moc Tunnels. Begin with a brief 20-minute film outlining the tunnel’s history, followed by a guided tour beneath the earth. Built by local people between 1965 and 1967, the tunnels provided safe shelter during intense bombing campaigns. Unlike many military-only tunnels, Vinh Moc became an underground village, complete with wells, kitchens, meeting rooms, a clinic, and living quarters for hundreds of residents.

Stretching nearly 2 km with multiple levels 10–30 meters deep, the tunnels allowed civilians to survive air raids. Remarkably, 17 babies were born within these tunnels during the war, symbolizing resilience and hope amidst hardship.

After exploring Vinh Moc, your journey back to Hue follows the scenic coastal route. You will arrive around 1:00 PM for the morning tour or 7:00 PM for the afternoon tour, concluding a meaningful and insightful half-day journey through Vietnam’s dramatic history.
