Embark on a full-day tour to the marvelous and wonderful Lake Rocotuyoc, located in the White Mountain Range and Huascaran National Park. Take a guided hike to the lake, and see the petroglyphic paintings along the way.

Start your tour in Huaraz at the First Class Huaraz office. Head to the north side highway for about 40 kilometers, passing several typical Andean villages in the skirts of the White Mountains. When the weather allows, see the Peruvian high mountain from the road and make a photo stop.

Arrive at the small district of Marcara, where the minibus turns into the little picturesque valley of Vicos. On the way, stop at the control and entrance for this community to purchase community entrance tickets.

Continue into the valley and take in the wonderful cascade. Stop for a photo for about half an hour before continuing to the lake. Visit and appreciate the petroglyphic paintings along the way.

Arrive at the lake and start your adventure shooting and continue hiking along the lake to the next one for about 30 minutes. Get to the second lake where you will experience the color lake with small icebergs.

Stay here in the lakes by your own to enjoy and then head back the same way to the car. In the early afternoon, head back the same way to Marcara for lunch. After lunch, return to Huaraz, arriving around 6:00 PM in the afternoon and drop-off at the office downtown Huaraz.
