Discover the Tunisian desert on a “Ksar Ghilane” excursion departing from Djerba or Zarzis and relax in the hot water springs of “Ksar Ghilane”!

You will be picked up from your hotel early in the morning and will head towards the Tunisian desert crossing the Jeffara plain.
You will make a first stop to take photos with the lunar landscapes of the Dahar region and enjoy the panoramic view in one of our best excursions to the desert “Ksar Ghilane”.

Subsequently, you will cross the stony desert (the reg) and arrive at the gates of the desert: the oasis of “Ksar Ghilane” located in the middle of magnificent sand dunes where the large eastern erg begins.
You will enjoy your free time and will have the choice between a good swim in the hot springs and a camel ride or a quad ride to visit a Roman ford (at an additional cost).
On the way back, get a change of scenery with another natural scene and another new cultural experience with a departure towards the village of Matmata passing through the village of Tamezret to enjoy a panoramic view and take photos.

Arrival in Matmata and visit a troglodyte house to discover the way of life of the inhabitants.
Lunch with locals to taste the local cuisine.

After lunch, visit Sidi Idriss, the famous site used in the filming of Star Wars.
Then, departure towards Djerba or Zarzis with a stop in Toujane, a village offering a magnificent panoramic view.
Return to your hotel in Djerba or Zarzis late in the afternoon
