What you can expect
Discover some of the highlights of Alsace on a full-day tour from Colmar, combining the impressive Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle, picturesque villages and beautiful vineyard landscapes along the Alsace Wine Route.
Travel comfortably in a premium Mercedes minivan with your English-speaking local driver through the vineyards and foothills of the Vosges Mountains.
Begin your day at Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle, one of the most remarkable landmarks in Alsace. Perched high above the Rhine plain, this beautifully restored medieval fortress offers impressive architecture, historic rooms, defensive walls and panoramic views over the surrounding countryside. Take time to explore the castle independently and discover its unique atmosphere and history.
Continue along the Alsace Wine Route towards Riquewihr, a beautifully preserved medieval village surrounded by vineyards. Walk along its cobbled streets, admire the famous Dolder tower and discover colorful Renaissance houses, hidden courtyards and traditional Alsatian architecture.
Your journey then takes you to Kaysersberg, known for its picturesque fortified bridge, charming old town, half-timbered houses and views towards the castle overlooking the village. Enjoy free time to explore its streets and experience the atmosphere of one of the region’s most attractive historic villages.
Continue to Eguisheim, famous for its circular streets, colorful façades and flower-filled lanes. Enjoy time to wander through the village, take photographs and experience its traditional Alsatian atmosphere.
Free time is provided during the day for lunch. Your driver will be happy to recommend local restaurants according to your preferences, whether you are looking for traditional Alsatian cuisine, a typical winstub or a more refined restaurant. If you let us know before the tour, we can also arrange a restaurant reservation for you on request, subject to availability. Meals and drinks are not included in the tour price.
Throughout the day, your local driver can provide practical information, local recommendations and helpful advice to help you make the most of each stop. You explore the castle and villages independently; this is not a guided walking tour.
The order of the stops may be adjusted depending on traffic, local conditions and opening times, while keeping the overall experience and planned visits.
At the end of the day, relax in your premium Mercedes minivan for the comfortable journey back to Colmar.
