What you can expect
You will be picked up from the centre of Cardiff by your guide Gareth at 0800. It's time to relax, unwind and take in the beautiful scenery as you drive towards the city of Swansea. During the drive you will be given a history lesson and a breakdown of the Welsh language. Important sights and place names will be explained. The Swansea Bay area is one of the oldest places in the world to industrialize and its shape has been compared to the bay of Naples. Our first visit will be the magnificent beach and cliffs of Rhossili, voted the best beach in the world. We'll spend about one and a half hours here with ample opportunities to take those instagram selfies. Nobody is ever disappointed by this beauty. It then takes around 40 minutes to get to the stunning village of Mumbles on the edge of Swansea Bay. There are shops and restaurants aplenty and be sure to give the locally famous Joe's a try for the very best ice cream in Wales. This is where we will stop for lunch. This isn't included in the price but Gareth can suggest places suitable for all tastes and budgets. We will then visit Neath Abbey, a 900 year old gem that is free to walk around and soak up the atmosphere. The last visit will be Melincourt Waterfalls in the Vale of Neath. This beauty was once painted by JMW Turner. You will not be disappointed. The expected arrival time back in Cardiff is 1630.
