I'll pick you up directly from your accommodation in Brașov in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle — Wi-Fi available on board for when the signal allows — and we'll set off through the Carpathian Mountains toward two places that most visitors to the region never get to see.

A Peaceful Stop at Cheia Monastery
About halfway through our drive, we'll pause at Cheia Monastery — a quiet Orthodox monastery tucked into the mountains. Take 20-30 minutes to wander at your own pace, soak in the traditional architecture, and enjoy the kind of stillness that's hard to find elsewhere. No rush, no crowds.

Underground at Slănic Salt Mine
Our main destination is Slănic Prahova Salt Mine — one of Romania's most impressive underground spaces. I'll handle your entry tickets and from there, the mine is yours to explore freely. The giant salt chambers, the microclimate, the strange silence underground — it's one of those places that's genuinely difficult to describe until you've been there. Most people spend around 90 minutes inside, though you're welcome to take your time.

The Drive Is Part of the Experience
Between the monastery, the mine, and the road itself, there's plenty of time for conversation — about Romania, about life here, about whatever comes up naturally. No scripted commentary, just an honest chat with a local.
I'll drop you back at your hotel in Brașov after around 6-7 hours, leaving you with something a little different from the usual day trip.
