What you can expect

  • This UNESCO tour offers two convenient meeting points: one in Bari at Camera di Commercio Industria Artigianato e Agricoltura - Bari and another at the activity provider's office in Polignano a Mare, accommodating participants from both locations for a full day of exploration.

Discover some of Italy’s oldest settlements in Matera and admire the iconic whitewashed trulli huts in Alberobello on this guided day trip. Enjoy free time in Alberobello to grab lunch or browse local shops.

Hop aboard an air-conditioned bus and relax as you travel through the scenic countryside to Matera, the first stop. Explore the fascinating Sassi districts, ancient cave dwellings carved into the rock and inhabited for around 10,000 years. Step back in time with a visit to a traditional Casa Grotta, a furnished cave home showcasing how families once lived.

In the afternoon, continue to Alberobello, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its fairy-tale-like trulli huts. Take a guided tour through the charming village and learn about its unique architecture and history.

Afterward, enjoy some free time for lunch or shopping before returning to your original meeting point. Capture unforgettable memories and stunning photos from this remarkable day.

    Return times:
