Pick up from Banyuwangi
Started to pick you up from your hotel in Banyuwangi roughly between 00.05-00.30 AM depending on your hotel location. As it is a shared group tour, we also pick up travelers from other hotels and homestays so we can not confirm the exact time you will get picked up. Be ready at 00.05 AM, so that you just ready to go when our driver arrives at your accommodation.

Kawah Ijen Blue Fire Tour
Arriving at Paltuding at around 02.00 AM, have a short rest for preparing the hike while we do the registration. Start your hike through the steep track in the dark under the moonlight and stars. Arrive at the crater top we need to descend the crater for about 30 minutes. Beware of the narrow rocky track, please use your good shoes with proper grip to make the walk easier. See the blue fire phenomenon at the crater lake bottom and see how sulfur mining is processed.

After seeing the blue fire, we take you to hike back to the top of the crater to get to the panoramic viewpoint. Here you can see the whole landscape of Kawah Ijen from the top, and enjoy the spectacular view of the green acid lake. This become the best place to take a selfie photo and make a short video for your Instagram feed. Fly a drone from here is also a good idea to capture the whole landscape of the area.

Meet the strongest men on earth who can carry almost 100 Kg of sulfur rocks on their shoulders only using a handmade bamboo basket. Be more respectful to them as they are not just a tourist attraction by simply saying hello when you meet them, sharing a path with them, or maybe you can buy a souvenir they made for small money.

Drop off back to Banyuwangi
We will drop you off back to your hotel in Banyuwangi roughly between 09.00-10.00 AM. You can continue to go to Ketapang Ferry Port by hiring a Grab or Gojek, the ferry leaves every 30 minutes and is available for 24 hours.
