Day 1: Ashgabat and Darvaza
Arrive at Ashgabat International Airport and meet your guide. Transfer to your hotel for early check-in, then enjoy some free time.
In the morning, embark on a city tour of Ashgabat, a city known for its white marble structures. See the Ashgabat Olympic Stadium, the Monument and Park of Independence, the main flagpole of Ashgabat, the Arch of Neutrality, the Constitution Monument, the Ferris Wheel, the Wedding Palace, and the Halk Hakydasy Memorial Complex. Enjoy a panoramic view of Ashgabat from the top of the hill, then visit the Alabay Monument and the Ertogrul Gazi Mosque.
In the afternoon, drive to the Darvaza Gas Crater, one of the top international tourist destinations. The area is rich in natural gas, and the crater has been burning for more than 50 years. Besides the Darvaza Gas Crater, see the water and mud craters. Experience the fresh air of the desert and the nomadic lifestyle. At night, while the light of the Gas Crater hits the sky, camp in a Turkmen national yurt or private tents and enjoy a barbecue dinner.
Day 2: Darvaza – Dashoguz – Shavat
Enjoy a picnic-style breakfast at the yurt camp. Then, drive to the Turkmen/Uzbek border, Shavat (309km, 5h).
