The wine tasting tour of the Euganean Hills will take you to discover these volcanic hills that rise to heights of 300 to 600 m from the Padua-Veneto plain a few km south of Venice.
Departing from Abano Terme and/or Montegrotto Terme, you'll board our minivan and enter the heart of the Euganean Hills Regional Park to discover the best wine production in the area, thanks to a visit to two renowned wineries in the Euganean area.
In the Euganean lands, the unique volcanic soil and good climate allow for the cultivation of various grape varieties. Among the white wines, for example, there's Serprino (a biotype of the Glera grape) which we can say is the “volcanic version” of Prosecco; Pinot Blanc; Garganega, Chardonnay and finally Manzoni. While local reds include Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Carmènere.
During the walk through the vineyards, the visit to the barrel cellar, and various wine tastings, you'll listen to the winemaker's expert story. They'll guide you through the tasting to help you grasp all the nuances of their best wines.
Once you've finished visiting both wineries, we'll get back on our minivan and head back to the initial pickup point.
