Discover the flavours of Krakow’s Kazimierz district at three local restaurants. Try traditional Polish dishes, regional soups, pickled vegetables and desserts, served with homemade fruit compote.
Spend three hours exploring Kazimierz through its food and the stories behind it. This historic part of Krakow has been shaped by Polish and Jewish communities, whose traditions still influence the neighbourhood’s kitchens.
Your local guide will take you to three restaurants, with a different course at each stop:
Start with soup: A bowl of regional Polish soup to begin the meal.
Sit down for the main course: A dish inspired by Kazimierz’s Polish and Jewish cooking traditions, served with pickled vegetables and homemade fruit compote (kompot).
Save room for dessert: Sweet pierogi filled with fruit or sweet cheese, or fruit-filled knedle dumplings.
Along the way, walk through the district’s streets and courtyards, hear about the people who lived here, and learn how their everyday meals became part of Kazimierz’s story.
